          Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I am a trauma informed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in behavioral health. I have been described as having a “warm, funny, authentic” personality and approach.

I have a variety of training and experiences that I use to partner with teens, adults and couples. I am a Certified Gottman Couples Therapist specializing in using this training to assist people resolve relationship conflict.

I was a school social worker for over 12 years, which has helped me relate well to children and teens, specializing in social skills and ADHD. I also collaborate with parents on parenting children and teens with behavioral, social, and academic challenges.

My most recent training involves helping people resolve trauma. This is not only the big “T” traumas such as violence and abuse, but also little “T’s” such as chronic stress. I have training in specific trauma resolution modalities including Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Yoga and Internal Family Systems. I am an approved member of Trauma Tree Healing Network, a trauma network and brain based trauma resolution organization.

I consider myself a progressive Christian who is affirming of LGBTQ persons as I believe that all are made in the image of our Creator. I have been married for 25 years and have two young adult children. I am a strong racial justice advocate, and a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. I used to do Stand Up comedy. I often bring my dog, Charlie, a Certified Therapy Dog, with me to the office. I would describe Charlie as big, fluffy, occasionally humorous, and emotionally supportive .
