Irene Cho, LCPC, LMFT

I received my bachelors degree in journalism at Northwestern University and my masters degree in clincal psychology from Wheaton College in 1995. After working in community mental health for 10 years, I began working in private practice in 2003. I have a passion for helping those who are struggling in their relationships and their overall emotional well-being.

My strengths lie in my ability to help clients understand and identify the feelings and circumstances that are contributing to their repetitive struggles. I work collaboratively to find solutions, identify patterns and help build skills to overcome the fears and obstacles that are holding people back from the freedom and intimacy they are longing to achieve. I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples therapy, one of the leading therapies for couples who are in cycles of distress.

My practice is located in Naperville where I treat individual adults and couples focusing on depression, anxiety, life transitions, emotional regulation, grief and loss and couples/relational issues.
