  • Jeanie Chang

    Counseling Intern

Jeanie is a second year in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling master’s program at Wheaton College. She believes that everyone needs to be heard and validated and that sitting with clients and hearing their stories is a privilege. She has experience working with clients with depression and anxiety in a PHP/IOP outpatient setting and has a heart for serving the Asian American community, especially young adults. She hopes to create a space for all clients to feel safe and validated and to empower clients by equipping them with tools for personal and interpersonal development.

Jeanie grew up in Dallas, Texas and received her Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. She completed her social work internship at an underprivileged elementary school in Austin and has experience working with refugees in East Asia. Her current research interests are in Asian American experiences of immigration and internalized racism.
