As a firm believer in person-centered therapy, I believe that it is
extremely important to work together to create a safe space where my
clients can feel empowered to engage in self-discovery and explore
different aspects of their lives and identity. In combination with other
evidence-based strategies (i.e., dialectical behavioral therapy and
systems-based approach), we can work together to not only understand and
process your thoughts and experiences, but to also equip you with a
range of coping skills and harness your unique strengths to overcome
difficult situations and emotions. I believe that growth is a nonlinear
process. We will work to explore what works and doesn’t work to find
strategies and approaches that best work for you and your goals.

I have worked with individuals from various cultural and social economic
backgrounds, particularly with people of color and immigrant women. I am
aware that our social environments and circumstances can have
significant impacts on our lives, both on a micro and macro scale. It is
important for me to also acknowledge the systems and institutions that
protect certain privileges while building obstacles and barriers for
others. During our sessions, I hope to provide plenty of opportunities
to not only explore your experiences, but to also speak and remain
mindful about these systems of oppressions during our conversations. In
sessions, I have addressed topics such as anxiety, depression,
immigration stress, family dynamics, intergenerational trauma, PTSD,
life transitions, perfectionism, and academic or career-related stress.

Taking a step forward can feel extremely daunting. It would be an
absolute privilege to work with you as you move onto the next chapter in
your life! Thank you for considering me!
