    Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

    broken image

The power of therapy lies in creating a space whose sole purpose is for you. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to create a place where you are free to explore new ways of relating, experiencing, or thinking. Part of why I became a therapist is because of how energizing it is to explore these changes together.

I also became a therapist because I believe in the power of relationships – our relationships determine how we move through the world. This belief leads me to take a highly relational and systemic lens. Therapy with me will often involve exploring the interactions we have with others in our lives and building up connection with security, validation, and authenticity.

For modalities, I use a person-centered, trauma-informed approach and primarily draw from Solution-Focused therapy, Collaborative Language Systems, and Symbolic-Experiential therapy. It is important to me to provide an affirming space where the client controls pace, topic, and process. My intention in most sessions is to create a space where vulnerability is invited in a secure manner, so clients can feel healing change real-time, in the room.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and received my Master of Arts degree in Couple and Family Therapy from Adler University, where I gained experience working with Medicaid populations in Community Mental Health. I work with families, individuals, and intimate relationships with a particular interest in couples. I have experience with anxiety, depression, family conflicts, and chronic stress. I have training in crisis prevention (CPI) and have completed the externship in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (working towards full certification).

In my free time, you can find me playing soccer, reading, or working on my bridge skills!

Please feel free to reach out for a free initial consultation or to schedule a first session.
