Cathay is passionate about supporting families during life stage transitions from contemplating parenthood through empty nesting and how those changes impact children and parents, particularly mothers. Cathay believes therapy is a collaborative experience and that one size does not fit all. Life is complicated and we are ever-evolving. When therapy is client-centered and there is a good fit between client and therapist, change can happen to help people improve relationships with others and themselves. Cathay uses play, compassion, and humor to help clients locate and change unhelpful patterns and behaviors.

Cathay combines her personal experiences as a mother in a multiracial family, career changer, and child of Chinese immigrants with her professional experiences to support clients including BIPOC and multicultural individuals, couples and families. After working as a small business owner and consultant, Cathay changed careers and graduated with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University.

Cathay is committed to providing a caring space that affirms all identities, genders, races, ethnicities, and religions. Cathay is currently accepting both in person and telehealth cases and referrals.
